Book Club
When? June 8, 2026, 6:00 p.m.
Where? Philosophikum, S58
There will be a book club in the summer semester of 2026, and we warmly invite everyone interested to join us!
We’re open to all ideas regarding the format and would love to hear your suggestions! We invite you to an initial planning meeting on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in Seminar Room 58 in the Philosophikum, where we’ll select additional texts and set a regular meeting schedule.
To kick things off, we’d like to discuss “Defiance, Ohio Is The Name Of A Band” and “Death Becomes You: My Chemical Romance And Ten Years Of The Black Parade” from Hanif Abdurraqib’s *They Can’t Kill Us Until They Kill Us* at this meeting (you’ll find the link to the PDF below).
If you’re interested, feel free to sign up at fs-komparatistik(at)uni-koeln(dot)de or just drop by. Even if you don’t get a chance to read the text, you’re more than welcome to join us : )
We look forward to seeing you!
