Since January 2023, our Comparative Book Club has again been taking place 1-2 times a month in the Comparative Literature Office 1.16 (Innere Kanalstraße 15). We have created a WhatsApp-group for last-minute arrangements, suggestions and text contribution - if you would like to be added, please let us know via Instagram, WhatsApp or by email.

Our first meeting will take place on Tuesday, 14 November and we will start by discussing Friedrich Schlegel's "Über die Unverständlichkeit". Please feel free to bring your own ideas for texts and topics to be discussed. We look forward to an enjoyable evenings and inspiring discussions!

Our Idea:

With our Book Club, we want to make room for a specific comparatist exchange beyond our basic modules: 1-2 times a month, we would like to sit down with you to read and discuss short stories, poems, theoretical texts, etc. Of course, the comparative perspective and "the comparison" should be in the foreground here as well. The choice of topics and texts is entirely in our/your hands - so please feel free to contact us with suggestions and ideas!
